Some teens are official delegates from congregations.  Others serve with the Youth Missioners as pages, actors, readers, chalice bearers and general helpers.  Youth Ministries will provide all meals and supervision on Friday.  We will also have a limit ed number of host families for Friday night.  To register your youth, contact Jane Hartwell at youth@diomaine.org or 772-1953 or 800-244-6062.

Registration Information

Here are the materials you will find helpful in preparation for the 185th ANNUAL CONVENTION, scheduled to begin with registration at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 22, at the Bangor Civic Center and adjourn when business is completed on Saturday, October 23. Any updated materials will be given to delegates at registration.

REGISTRATION

2. Delegates and alternates will be given their registration packets when they register. Pre-printed name tags will be available at an adjacent table.

3. Only delegates authorized to vote will be given voting cards and ballots.

4.  Registration will cease at 9:00 a.m.  Any delegate who wishes to be seated for the 184th Convention after that time must present him/herself to the "Late Registration" table just inside the door of the convention floor.

LUNCH AND REFRESHMENTS

Beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning, a continental breakfast will be offered. A bag lunch, consisting of a sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert and beverage is available for $7.50.  Pre-paid tickets will be located at the Saleable Items table in the registration area. A light continental breakfast will be available beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.  A lunch reservation form may be found at here.

All voting members of the convention will receive a voting card. All "voice votes" and "show of hands" votes will be made by holding up a colored card that will be given to delegates when they register. One ballot will be used for all elections to save printing costs and to expedite the election process.

Eat, Drink, and Support the Youth Ministries’ Haiti Mission Project!
An optional Friday dinner will be held following Evening Prayer at St. Patrick’s, Brewer, which is located about 2 miles from the Bangor Civic Center.   This will be festive and lots of fun!  Seating is limited, reservations are required.  Watch for ticket information in upcoming issues of The Northeast and on the Convention webpages.

CHURCH BANNERS

Congregations are encouraged to bring their free-standing banners to display around the convention hall.
